Instructor's Corner

This page is to help all the hockey coaches and skating instructors out there.  Playing hockey is one of the hardest sports anyone could get involved with.  there is a lot to the game of hockey and we would like to give you some pointers to make you a better instructor.

There are three sections from the page.  Why Power Skating?  Will give you the general philosophy behind the idea of power skating, what it is, how it should be taught, and why it is important for every hockey player to learn from it.  Video Analysis is an area where you will be able to watch video of beginning, and advanced skaters trying some of the skills of power skating.  This page will help you look for general errors of skating and help you correct them.  This page will also show you a skater who uses the skill and how it is used in a game situation.  Teaching Process helps you break down the skill and explain how things are working to the student you are teaching.
